Bike Delivery
Need a book you just read about, but don't have time to leave home? Looking
for something great to read, but unable to get out of the house? Dying to
pickup that book you saw on the Daily Show or heard about on NPR this morning,
but can't find the time to stop by your neighborhood bookshop? The booksellers
at Downer Avenue will put foot to pedal to bring books to your front door.
If you live North of Brady, South of Capital and East of Humboldt we will
dispatch our book riders to your door on Tuesdays and Fridays between 1 p.m.
and 4 p.m., weather permitting - partially because we need the excercise,
but mostly because we believe in spending locally and reducing the community's
carbon imprint.
To place an order, call us at Downer Avenue (332-1181) or email ondowner@schwartzbooks.com with the titles you want to buy, a contact number and your address. We accept credit cards over the phone or will take a check or cash upon delivery. We will deliver by bike on Tuesdays and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.
